Where are you originally from?: Northridge, CA
Where do you live now?: Denver, CO
What types of bikes do you ride/race?: Enduro, Gravel and a touch of Road. It's little known, but Cows can average around 17 mph but they can't sustain it very long. This is why I thrive in short burst, downhill events like Enduro.
Favorite type of cow: Japanese Brown Cow, they're basically the best taken care of steer out there
Favorite cow fact: Cows are actually great swimmers and this makes me smile thinking of a herd at a water crossing
Favorite cow pun: Why did the moody cow go to therapy? They felt seen, but not herd
How are you going to make hay this year?: I'm not only pushing myself to be the utter best I can be and taking on the biggest races I've ever done, but I'm putting effort into being a support system. My wife is stampeding through a few races this year and I am fully embracing the support system and cheerleader role. This has helped me see the other side of racing and embody being the supportive husband I strive for. Everyone prefers a well rounded, full bodied hay.
What does inclusivity mean to you?: It is when everyone feels welcome, but going one step further, it's feeling encouraged. It's one thing to be welcomed into a herd, but it's another thing to truly feel like that herd is backing you. At Holy Cow, I know that everyone wants to see me succeed no matter what the definition of success is for me personally.
How will you be larking this year?: I've already spread my love of two wheels to many people close to me and they've gotten into new areas of cycling this year. I'm going to fertilize this growth even further by planning larger cycling trips and inviting friends on these. Pushing them to find new levels of success while keeping things fun so they have more love to spread themselves.
