Mitch MacArthur
Where are you originally from?: Evergreen, CO
Where do you live now?: Durango, CO
What types of bikes do you ride/race?: Road, mountain, gravel
Favorite type of cow: The ones that run along with me as I bike by them.
Favorite cow fact: Cows are very social. They will invite you on their aftermoon group ride with no warning.
Favorite cow pun: What’s a cows favorite subject? Cow-culus… corny math teacher jokes.
How are you going to make hay this year?: I will be cycling my way around France with my wife in June and hope to meet some local riders to show this cow around. I also hope to enter more races this year when we are back in Colorado.
What does inclusivity mean to you?: Cycling can be a very exclusive sport with fancy gear and secretive group rides. But all it really is is a grown up version of racing your friends around the block. Everyone should know the joy of cycling and be able to enter the sport without judgement.
How will you be larking this year?: I’ll be pushing myself in further endurance events and trying to break into the Durango cycling scene. Hopefully developing a Holy Cow group ride with some other Durango folk.
Thinking about our value, Kit Matters: socks over or under leg warmers?: Under for sure.
